Prestige Worldwide Shocks The World
(Medford, NJ) - Coming from behind yet again, Prestige Worldwide became the first ever 2 time Masters Champs. A decisive 19-13 result sent the crowd home satisfied. Most importantly, the title didn't go "outside" the family.

(Medford, NJ) - Prestige Worldwide has advanced to the finals by beating Shuffle This on a number of great shots. They must now beat Shaeffer BMW 2 in a row. Schaeffer is the favorite, needing just one win.

Schaeffer BMW Knocks Prestige Worldwide Into Loser Bracket
(Medford, NJ) - 2009 Champs Ashley Schaeffer BMW defeated Prestige Worldwide 18-13 to advance to the Championship Final. 2010 Champs Prestige worldwide will attempt to come back from the loser bracket. They are scheduled to face the winner of Shuffle This and Morning Rory, who are currently playing in the loser bracket semifinals. Prestige Worldwide will have to win 3 straight to become the first repeat champs. Schaeffer BMW needs just a single win to clinch the title.
Morning Rory Advances in Loser Bracket
Florence-based Morning Rory eliminated the Replacements. Shuffle This and the Tinos now playing in the final match before the winner's bracket Finals.
Finals Set
Winners bracket finals are set and short take place just after 8PM. 2009 champs Ashely Schaeffer BMW will take on 2010 champs Prestige Worldwide. Schaeffer BMW defeated Morning Rory to advance, while Prestige Worldwide handled the Tinos. The cream is rising to the top.

Buzz Surrounds Champions Dinner
(Medford, NJ) - The buzz Wednesday morning will be about tonight's Champion's Dinner and Practice Rounds. As a reminder, the Practice Rounds are the only time during which spectators are allowed to take photographs. So bring your cameras Wednesday and leave them home Saturday! Derby Day Tournament Official!
For Immediate Release
(Riverton, NJ) - We are
pleased to announce the first ever Derby Day Shuffleboard Tournament May
5th. The Derby Day tournament is an Invitational, not an Open
Tournament. There will be a strict limit of 8 teams (16 players total)
permitted in the inaugural tournament. The first 8 teams to register and pay
will secure their spots in this event. Non-playing guest are invited to attend
and enjoy the catered food, nok-hockey, Nintendo (for real), and, (of course)
watch the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby.
Cost is
$75 per team, with $50 going toward the cash prizes. This includes a full day
of catered buffet, drink, and shuffleboard action. Non-playing guests are
encouraged to attend and are welcome to cover their cost with an optional
contribution of $10.
The
tournament format is double elimination. The finalist coming from the loser’s
bracket will have to win two consecutive games to take the title. The current
plan is to have the tournament tip off at 3PM sharp. We will play the four
first round games, and the first two consolation matches. We will then we will
break for the Derby (post time 624PM). We will re-start at 7PM with the
semifinals, moving towards a final around 10PM.
For those
unfamiliar with the traditions of table shuffleboard, it’s a great day of fun,
trash talking, and fellowship. Good team names are required and uniforms are
recommend and encouraged. Matching tee shirts will do the trick. We will also host a few
“practice sessions” for novice players to work out the kinks. These tournaments
tend to be all-male affairs. However, if there are any “Rockford Peaches” or
“Racine Belles” who would like to participate, we will be glad to have you.
To
register, send me an email with: 1) Team name 2) Team Members 3) Team Captain’s
name (responsible for calling coin flip, etc). You can send your entry fee
check to (redacted) or via PayPal for (redacted). Feel
free to pass this along to anyone I missed.
All
seeding is blind. Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournamemt:
1st Prize
- $250 cash and team name permanently on the trophy
2nd
Prize - $100 cash
3rd
Place - $50 cash (return of principal)

On the heels of the recent March Madness tournament, the press is reporting a new tournament is set to be announced. Anonymous reports state a Derby Day tournament will be announced for May 5th. Details to follow..
