Looking Ahead...TCoS 2015 - A Few Promises

(Riverton, NJ) - Yes, we are at the low-point of the offseason. It seems as if the next TCoS season will never come. Rest easy, next Spring, we will be doing our business on the butcher block. There are always surprises, but here are three things you can bank on:
1) Rick will talk about maybe not having a tournament. Then, he will make a late-February announcement of the the 12th Annual MMST.
2) The Masters will be in Medford.
3) Floyd "Money" Mayweather will take a break from punching girlfriends, and agree to a mega-fight for May 2nd. As is tradition, Floyd's fight will start right after the conclusion of the Derby Day Shuffleboard Tournament.

This will happen, guaranteed. You can bank on it.

No Molly In Da Club

(Riverton, NJ) - You won't find any MDMA use at our Derby event. Last year, the closest thing i saw to contraband was someone selling small Snickers bars labeled "Not For Individual Sale".

Vin Scully Will Be Back For Another Year

(Los Angeles, CA) - Vin Scully is staying in the booth for the Los Angeles Dodgers. The 86-year-old Hall of Fame announcer will return for his record 66th season with the team in 2015. The announcement was made by in Korean, Spanish and English by players Hyun-Jin Ryu, Yasiel Puig and Justin Turner on the Dodger Stadium video board in the second inning of Tuesday night's game against Atlanta.

The news was greeted with loud cheers and a prolonged standing ovation for Scully, who stood and waved to fans from his booth, where he hugged his wife, Sandi.

A decision about Scully's future has become an annual rite of passage in recent years as he evaluates his health and his family's wishes in considering whether he wants to continue.

Tiger Woods To Miss (Golf) Masters

Tiger Woods will miss the Masters after undergoing back surgery earlier this week for a pinched nerve that has been hurting him for several months, the world's No. 1 player said on his website.

It will be the first time in 20 years that Woods will not play in the event. "After attempting to get ready for the Masters, and failing to make the necessary progress, I decided, in consultation with my doctors, to have this procedure done," Woods said in the statement.

The Kings ran through the field and left the other 11 teams feeling ashamed to have even participated. Can the Kings extend their run through the rest of the season. Can either Rick or Matt take the Triple Crown?

(Lumberton, NJ) - LESS THAN TWO WEEKS UNTIL MARCH MADNESS!! It's amazing, folks. In less than two weeks, the area's top table shuffleboard players will convene at the "Theater of Dreams" - Pop's Pub. We'll gather on March 29th for the 11th Annual March Madness Shuffleboard Tournment." Can the Quate Kings take their 7th title, or will an upstart team knock off the kings? The action will start at 107PM.

Also - The Master's tournament has been finalized for March 12th. The action in Medford will start at 1PM. After a weak showing last year, Prestige Worldwide is hoping to keep their "win every other year" habit intact.
